The Tapir Trail
$75.00
The Tapir Trail is an afternoon and evening activity in Drake Bay. It is perfect for families, and those who want to experience an off-the-beaten track jungle adventure. The main draw of this tour is the population of Tapir on the jungle reserve. Nowhere other than Corcovado National Park do you have such a good chance of seeing these wonderful creatures. Other species that can be experienced on this tour include puma, sloth, monkeys, and a huge variety of birds, frogs, snakes, and insects. It rivals any night hike in Costa Rica and it's nowhere near as busy!
The Tapir Trail tour departs at 2.30pm and returns after dinner. It includes transportation to and from your hotel, bilingual certified guide, and a wonderful dinner at a local family restaurant. Depending on the time of year, the tour may also include a swim at a secluded waterfall.
You should wear covered shoes, bring swimming gear, drinking water, flashlights or headlamps, insect repellent, dry bags for any electronics, and rain protection.
